This privacy policy applies to prayer clock, for mobile devices and web browsers, operated by sofia usmani (the "Service Provider").
No Account Requiredprayer clock does not require you to sign in or create an account. There are no user profiles, and the Service Provider has no way to identify you personally through normal use of the app.
Location DataIf you grant location permission, your device's coordinates are used to:
Location data is never sold, and is not retained by the Service Provider beyond what's needed to serve the request.
Compass / Motion DataThe Qibla compass uses your device's built-in compass heading to point toward Mecca. This data is processed entirely on your device to rotate the on-screen compass — it is never transmitted anywhere or stored.
Locally Stored DataYour settings (time format, appearance, calculation method, notification preferences), your daily prayer-completion checklist, and cached prayer times are stored only on your device — in the app's local storage on mobile, or your browser's local storage on the web. None of this is transmitted to the Service Provider or any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser's site data removes it.
NotificationsPrayer and reminder notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No push notification service or remote server is involved, and no data about your notifications leaves your device.
Feedback You Choose to SendIf you use the "Feedback & Suggestions" form on the web app, we receive the message you write and, only if you choose to include them, your name and email address. This is used solely to read your feedback and, if you provided an email, to follow up with you. It is never sold or used for marketing.
What prayer clock Does Not DoSince almost everything is stored only on your own device, you can typically delete your data yourself at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing your browser's local storage for this site. If you've sent feedback with your name or email and want that deleted, contact the Service Provider at prayanywhereinitiative@gmail.com.
Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)If you are a California resident: the Service Provider does not sell or share personal information. You may still contact prayanywhereinitiative@gmail.com to ask what information (if any) we hold about you — in practice, this is limited to feedback you've voluntarily submitted.
Childrenprayer clock is not intended for children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
ChangesThis policy may be updated as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here, with the effective date below updated accordingly.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-07-13.
